Silent hero

Action cinema lovers will definitely know the movie “Drive”. The main character of the film is a calm driver (played by Ryan Gosling) who works in a car workshop and as a stuntman. In the evening, the film’s main protagonist helps criminals by taking them by car from the crime scene. The title hero falls in love with a woman. He wants to help
her solve problems, while getting entangled in a gangster intrigue. From the first scenes we can see his hands in classic leather gloves. It seems that they are used not only to improve the driving comfort. In the rest of the film, we observe how the main character puts on these leather gloves many times. They give him a distinct character and emphasize his masculinity. A complement to his unique and strong style is a leather jacket with a scorpion.

Not only for men

It turns out that thanks to serial scenes, driving gloves have also been popularized among ladies. In the popular Gossip Girl series, gloves are worn by the colorful Blair Waldorf, played by Leighton Meester. The heroine of the series knows fashion very well and is not afraid to experiment. She dresses classically, and her outfits often refer to past years. As a daughter of a famous designer, she has a passion for fashion in her genes. In some scenes, we can see her in women’s gloves, paired with a nice coat and stylish handbag. James Bond needs no introduction. In the movie “Specter” he was played by Daniel Craig again. In this installment of the adventures of a well-known agent, we can watch scenes in which the hero drives a beautiful Aston Martin – in a classic men’s leather gloves, perforated on the fingers. They were designed by the famous British manufacturer of such haberdashery – brand Dents – operating for over two centuries! They perfectly match the image of an elegant character who revels in a luxurious environment, who has other attributes besides a weapon. Scenes from “Specter” certainly convince men that such leather gloves are “must have” in their wardrobe.

It turns out that leather goods do not have to be associated only with the classics. And although car gloves made of solid, sheep’s or lambskin leather are the perfect addition to elegant clothes, they can also fit to more daily stylizations.
